 Pre-Qualification is a Waste Many people get pre-qualified for a mortgage and then go home shopping. This is an utter waste of time. A pre-qualification determination from a lender means nothing. It is not binding on the lender and is only an estimate regarding how they will handle your loan application. Get pre-approved instead.
