List Your House For Sale

For the past few years, a dramatic shift has been going on in the real estate market. Instead of using realtors, you can know list your house for sale online.

List Your House For Sale

As recently as 1998, most people who wanted to sell their house would use a realtor. Depending on their state, they would pay listing fees to the realtor and then pay out a commission based on the percentage of sales. With six percent being the traditional commission, realtors made out like bandits. For a $300,000 sale, the realtor could take as much as $18,000! That represents a lot of your equity.

Fortunately, a little thing called the Internet is putting an end to such commissions.  Today, most home buyers use will first search Internet sites such as this one to find homes they might be interested in. Instead of spending a frustrating weekend driving all over town, they just sit, click and make a list of the properties they want to see. Some of these prospects will then ask a realtor to view the house with them, but some will just do everything themselves.

The Internet now represents the first step in real estate process. Buyers are looking online to find their dream home. If you want to sell quickly, you need to list your house for sale online so buyers in your area can find it. If you're not online, you're not going to be on their list of prospective houses to visit.

Simply listing your house for sale online, however, isn't enough. To really bring in the offers, you must list your house with pictures. Digital cameras are plentiful these days. If you don't have one, borrow one from a friend. Snap pictures and upload them onto your listing. If you don't, potential buyers will skip your listing for those that have pictures.

You can list your house for sale online fairly easily. There are a number of sites out there that charge monthly rates as high as $150. We've never really figured out why they charge so much. To list your house for sale on this site, you'll get the first month free and then be charged $25 a month for as long as the listing remains. You can even list it if you have a broker representing you.
