Located in Mendocino County a bit below Fort Bragg, Gualala is a picturesque town. Best described as a rural area, the town offers a relaxed way of living but with a certain elegance. It is located within shouting distance of no less than six state parks and natural reserves.

Pronounced "wa-la-la", the town is relatively close to San Francisco, but offers an oasis from the rat race of a big city. The town has a distinct Victorian feel to it and is built up the side of gentle sloping hills that run along the shore of the Pacific Ocean. The shoreline itself is rocky, but incredibly scenic.

Head inland from Gualala and you are in wine country. Wineries such as Fetzer Vineyards, Mendocino Hill Winery and Bonterra Vineyards are but a few located close to Gualala. Wine aficionados have never had it so good!

Gualala real estate can run in the millions for custom built sanctuaries to two or three hundred thousand for fixer uppers. Fixer uppers are a particular steal in the area as the potential for equity gain is absolutely tremendous.
