Whenever an industry has problems, the first thing that seems to start flying are the lawsuits. In the case of the mortgage industry, it might be an appropriate move. There is no doubt shenanigans went on that resulted in people owning homes they never should have. If you are one of these people, does it mean you should start calling the attorneys that are advertising on television? Maybe. It is important, however, to understand what you are getting into. Class action lawsuits sound great to most people, but you often don't make much and the lawyers due. Also, make absolutely sure you don't have to pay out anything so that you don't lose out even more.
