Reacting to an Offer

Happy days are here! You’ve received an offer on your home. All your neighbors are jealous! Okay, so now what do you do? Well, you have three choices. The first is to accept it as is. This means you accept all the terms being made in the offer. Your second is to reject it outright. This occurs where the offer is for a very low price or has terms that are laughable. The third choice is to counter it. This is done by rejecting the first offer while simultaneously making a separate offer that changes some of the terms of the first. In the world of negotiation, this is known as haggling and is the most common step.
