Do NOT Procrastinate on Lender Questions
If you're buying a home and your lender asks for something, provide it quickly. The contract's been through the fax several times, and the lender wants a clean copy? Get it for him or her. The lender asks for an addendum that says the personal property conveying at settlement is to be covered by a bill of sale and is not included in the purchase price? Contact the seller and arrange for such an addendum right away. It can probably provide for something like a bill of sale that conveys the designated personal property "for one dollar and other good and valuable consideration." Work with your lender to get acceptable wording. The point is that, when your loan is pending, the lender is the "eight hundred pound gorilla" who, hopefully, is going to provide a lot of money for the purchase of your home. You and the seller need to cooperate to get all remotely reasonable requests filled.
