Having an Open House

A time tested method for getting news out on your home is to have an open house. Of course, advertising your open house is the only way to get people to come. There are a couple of ways to do this. The first is to use our open house section. To do this, log back in at www.fsboamerica.org and click on "Member's Login," type in the email address and password you used to create your account, click on "Sign In," and that takes you to your account page.  Click on "Add a Open House Event.  There's a Forgot Password feature if you need that.

The second is to post signs all over your neighborhood. The third is to run a small add in the local newspaper. Once you place the advertising, it is then important to do secondary advertising. This should be done by creating brochures and giving them to people that come to visit the home. The second is to keep a journal of people who come to see the home.

You might even find a local lender who will attend to help peope who come arrange their financing or answer loan questions.

We have found it helpful to have snacks or even lunch at open houses on occation.  It's your call.
