As previously mentioned, Northeast property can be a bit pricey compared to the rest of the country. This is primarily due to high prices found in cities such as Boston, New York and Philadelphia. For instance, the average home price in Philadelphia is $600,000. Boston and New York have average prices starting well north of that figure, pun intended.

If you wish to live in cities, you are going to have to pay for the privilege. On the other hand, you can find deals in our Northeast property listings if you are willing to live outside the urban areas or just outside of the major cities. Obviously, it comes down to your personal needs, but don't make the mistake of just looking in a particular location. If you expand your search, you may find that a similar home 10 miles away can be had at half the price.
