Mortgage Rates Solid

If you watch the news, you will see all types of gloom and doom related to housing and the mortgage market. Defaults are up. Home values are down. Ah, it is all going horribly, right? Well, not really. The mortgages available to borrowers with good to decent credit are still holding steady. Despite all the bad news, rates haven’t changed in about month by any appreciable amount. This should teach us a lesson. News does not equate to interest rate and money availability in the mortgage industry.
