Mortgage Broker Power

Mortgage brokers take a beating in the news. This is partially deserved as a hot real estate market attracts people trying to make a quick buck. These new brokers will say and do practically anything to close a deal and make a buck. These same people, however, flee when the market cools down. This leaves the good guys you want to work with. A broker that has been in the business for ten or fifteen years minimum is worth his or her weight in gold. They have relationships with lenders and they know where the money is. Just as importantly, they have a large portfolio of clients so they will treat you fairly instead of trying to squeeze every penny out of you like a new broker. In a tough mortgage market like we have now, they can make the difference between you getting that home or not. Use them.
