Making Rooms Look Bigger

Buyers always look at the square footage of a home to get a feel for the size of the home. Frankly, bigger is better. These same buyers, however, quickly learn that it is not so much the size of a home, but how it is proportioned. We’ve all seen homes that technically have a lot of square footage, but have a layout that is so bizarre that most of the footage is wasted. As a seller, you must consider whether your interior designing is doing the same thing. Make sure to walk from room to room asking yourself one question. Why is this here? If there isn’t a good answer, remove it! It is clutter.
