Low Ball Buyer Offers
If you're selling your home and get a lowball offer, what do you do? First, don't get angry. The buyer may be either trying to get a "steal," or he/she may be simply looking for the lowest price that is acceptable to you. Therefore, make a counter offer that you are willing to live with. The person who wants to steal your home will go away, but the person probing for your bottom line may accept your counter, or make a counter-counter, and you may eventually get together. Negotiation can achieve a sale, but a temper fit is highly unlikely to achieve anything except high blood pressure.
