Home Loan Discipline 

You've met with a lender in anticipation of buying a home.  He or she has suggested that you get pre-approved for a loan (as opposed to just pre-qualified) and has requested that you provide W-2s, copies of pay stubs, and the like as supporting documentation.  You feel like it's a nuisance and are inclined to "blow it off."  Don't.  When you actually find the home you want, you'll have a ton of things to do and will be very glad this detail has been taken care of in advance.
