Getting Very Low Offers

As you are readily aware, the real estate market is such now that buyers are in the catbird seat. The pendulum has swung so far in their direction that some gurus are advising buyers to make offers $100,000 below the asking price on various homes. $100,000! As a result, you can expect to get some mighty discouraging offers if you are selling your home. When this happens, you have two options. The first is to reject the offer out of hand and move on. The second is to make a counter offer with the price at or near your asking price. Both send the message that you are not to be trifled with by the buyer.
