Forget Ficus Trees

Ficus trees are beautiful at first glance, but you should really avoid them in your landscaping. Why? The roots are shallow oriented. This means the spread far and wide instead of going down into the ground. Inevitably, this leads to problems when they start buckling paths, driveways and even home foundations over long periods of times.
