FSBO Property - Homes For Sale By Owner
In a tight real estate market, FSBO property has an advantage.
FSBOs Can Find Buyer Agents
If you are willing to pay a commission (usually about half what you'd promise to a listing firm) to a buyer agent who brings you an acceptable contract offer on your property, here are some ideas for FSBOs.
Your local real estate agents WANT to be found. They advertise in local papers, in local real estate sales magazines, in the phone book yellow pages, and you can do an Internet search for Realtors in your area. If they specialize in working with buyers, their advertising usually makes that clear. They are not hard to find, and you can let them know that your property is for sale and you're willing to pay them a commission.
How you contact these Realtors depends on what contact info you have for them. Usually, it will be their phone number or email address.
If it's their phone number, call them, tell them about your property and that you're willing to pay them a commission. Ask for their email address.
Then send them an email saying the same thing. Include a link to your property's page on our website so that detailed information about your home complete with 15 photos (you HAVE uploaded that many, haven't you?) is readily available to him or her. Remember, your page is www.fsboamerica.org/000000 (with your MLS ID # replacing the zeros).
