FSBO Sellers and Real Estate Agents If you’re selling your home as a FSBO (FOR SALE BY OWNER), real estate agents are apt to call you. Don’t be rude. Tell them you’d be glad for them to show and sell your home and that you’d be willing to pay them 3% (or whatever HALF the usual commission is in your area) if they bring you an acceptable offer. Unless you’re dead set against real estate agents, this approach will open the door to many more potential buyers.
