One of the big factors involved in borrowing money for a home purchase is your credit. Don’t assume anything about your credit. Before you apply for a mortgage, check all three credit agencies. Congress has determined that 50 percent of the negative marks on most people’s credit are errors. If you think you have perfect credit, you might not because the reporting agency has made an error.
