Circumventing Mortgage Brokers
Everyone likes to save a buck here and there. When it comes to getting a mortgage, many borrowers can make a big mistake. They use a mortgage broker to arrange a loan and then try to circumvent that broker. They refuse to sign some document and instead try to contact the lender to work with them directly and cut out the broker and his or her fee. This almost never works. Why? The lender will not do it. Think about it. You are just one loan. The mortgage broker is bringing in many loans. Who do you think the lender is going to side with? Is the lender really going to risk losing that pipeline of loans to make a bit more money on you? Nope. Don’t do this. If you do, word will get around and no brokers will work with you.
