The Basics of Selling Your House 

If you're getting ready to sell your home, pay close attention to the basics.  Be sure it's clean, uncluttered, and is in good condition.  Price it right.  This means paying attention to "sold" prices in the recent past in your neighborhood for homes similar to yours.  Get lots of exposure for the fact that your home is for sale.  Use the Internet, and classified ads, and bulletin board ads, and signs, and anything else you can think of and can afford.  Make sure it's easily available for viewing over a wide range of hours -- perhaps 9 AM to 8 PM.  When they look their best, are priced right, are promoted, and are available for viewing, homes sell.
